Consider the types of Bone Cancer
Bone cancer
Is all about cell growth. A major condition when malignant cells are found in the human bone is Osteosarcoma. It also is the most common type of this disease. Mostly young Children have this tendency/symptoms occurring in the bones around the knee portion. Other sufferers are also among the group of adolescents and young adults.
Consider the types of the illness such as
a) Where malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the bone (a rare bone tumor) and
b) Ewing’s sarcoma: The shape of the cancer cells differ/varies.
The recuperation, an early diagnosis or detection of the type of disease, the treatment (as decided by the patient), are all controlled by the stage (the illness has reached), the location of the infected cells, the size or the extent to which it has aggravated and lastly the type of the cancer. Similarly, factors such as the period (for how long the patient had the symptoms), how many of the infected cells are taken out by surgery or killed by treatment using drugs/ chemicals (known as chemotherapy), the age of the patient, blood test result, other test results, and general health.
A general observation is that ignorance is criminal. Knowledge about bone cancer is power and by knowing more about the pain and the reason that lies underneath go a long way in helping the patient, who is the sufferer.
The cell is the building block of the entire human organ system and tissues of the body .With different looks and maybe different work, cells in different parts of the body, reproduce themselves in the same way. Cells do age, and are constantly becoming old and dying, and new cells are produced almost at the same time to replace them. Normally, the process of division (increase in number in a controlled or appropriate way) and growth of cells (size) is orderly and controlled. If and when this process gets out of control for some reason or at a particular area, the cells will continue to divide consistently for far too long and develop into a lump which is called a tumour.
Tumors can either be
a) Benign or b) malignant
Cancer is the name of this growth, a malignant tumour.
In a benign tumour the cells are area centric, which means they do not spread to other parts of the body and so are not infected. But, if they continue to grow at the original site, they may cause a problem by pressing on the surrounding organs.
It is important to realise that cancer on its own, is not a single disease with a single type of treatment. There are almost more than 200 different kinds of the illness, each with its own name and treatment.
