Who is at risk?
It is overwhelmingly a female disease, but as mentioned earlier few men are also affected. It becomes more common in women as age increases. Over 80% of cases occur in women above the age of 50. Certain actions like taking a contraceptive pill increase the risk of breast cancer. Having a hormone replacement therapy significantly increases your risk somewhat more. Obesity and heavy drinking can also significantly increase the risk. If one or more relatives have had the disease, your risk of developing it also increases
Early detection is very important

Thus it is extremely important to catch it at an early stage and so it is even more important to know the symptoms.
