It can be effectively treated with a combination of medications and counseling. Lithium carbonate, Eskalith, Lithane, and Lithobid etc are some of the mood stabilizers that can be used as effective anti depressant drugs. On line tests and analysis provide an important source of information for self assessment, whether mental or physical. This will help the patient and the doctor to get an insight into the health condition of the patient and possibly recommend the most reliable mode of treatment.
It is possible for persons encountering a manic phase not to realize that their actions are distressing or damaging to other people. This may manifest as a feeling of guilt, shame, distrust particularly if there is lack of support during this phase from near and dear ones.
