Soup is taken as starter in a meal. It is not only an appetizer but proves to be a quick snack too with a little bit of change in the ingredients. Over the years it has satisfied food lovers with varied tastes and that because you can add, delete or even at times invent your own specimen.

We all know that soups are made of vegetables in as much raw form as possible. Which means only one thing- good for health! What better way is there to shed all that heavy flab with a mouth-watering treat of hot soup?

The recipe

Here is how you prepare your soup to provide you for the tasty way to losing weight.

• Five medium carrots and three medium celery stalks.
• Chop three large onions.
• Mince one large garlic clove.
• About one can of tomato juice.
• Half cauliflower finely cut.
• Half ounce of beans.
• Three medium zucchini.
• Some spinach leaves.
• Half cup of chopped parsley.
• Two chicken flavored bouillons.
• One tbsp salt and half tbsp pepper.

Gather up all these, grease up your cooking pot and pour the ingredients one by one while continuously stirring it. Let it boil till the vegetables become tender. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes in all. If you want to make a whole week’s stock together then add ingredients at the last 5 minutes of the overall 15-minute time. This will make sure the frozen soup lasts.

Minor additions every night can give you all the variety you need without boring you. The additions can range from beans and shrimps to chicken and even roast beef. This does not leave you half full or hungry but satisfies every hunger urge in your stomach. Result is, loss of five pounds in the first week and one or two pounds steadily when continued beyond.

It works The main thing you need to do to make the soup diet work is not to skip meals. You can have as much of soup as you want and whenever you want. You can swap the lunch and dinners given in your diet chart. But if you have in lunch what you are supposed to have at dinner, then you’ll have to eat your lunch items at dinner to compensate. This switch is allowed in case you find a need to change your taste buds. You are not allowed the intake of any aerated drinks during the soup diet. If your soup starts to get a bit tasteless then you can spice it up by using tomato sauce, lemon, pepper, mustard, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, etc.
