Dry skin can be a precursor to eczema. Therefore, it is beneficial to avoid taking long, hot showers as this will dry out your scalp and skin.

This condition can be a nuisance, but you can minimize its impact by modifying your stress level. Reducing stress in your life will help any other ailments you suffer from as well.
