Fem HRT is a pill that contains the hormones estrogen and progestin and it is approved as it has been observed that the symptoms of menopause have been controlled. The effects are seen in a months and the effects of the hormonal changes are not a problem then. It is synthetic but not problematic as the other forms of treatment are. If the person having cancer has been suffering from cancer or has recovered from cancer then it should not be taken as the risk of cancer increases on administering this drug. In case of blood clotting it should be avoided, as it may be another health risk for the patient. Also if the person has undergone a heart problem then it is very difficult for the patient to take in this medicine due to risk of clot development. In case of uterus removal it is advised not to take fem HRT.
Procedure of intake
The best part of taking in of this medicine is that it can be taken with or without food at any time of the day. It is risky to take two pills together as they may cause a disturbance in normal functioning of the body. If one skips a dose then there should not be an over dosage of it. The standard dosage is 5 mcg. If the dosage is taken in an appropriate quantity then it can solve most of the problems related to menopause.
